Top 5 Pumpkin Patches in Guelph
My family loves going to pumpkin patches and farms every fall. Here is a list of our 5 favourites:
1. Strom’s Farm and Bakery
Strom’s is my family’s favourite pumpkin patch. I took my little guy for the first time when he was only two months old and since then pumpkin photos at Strom’s has become an annual tradition.
Hours: The market and bakery is now open daily from 9:30-6:00; it’s a good place to buy home made pies, jams, coffee or a pumpkin.
Make sure that you go during the weekend to enjoy the Harvest Fun area. The giant corn maze, straw maze, pedal carts, puppet show and pumpkin chuckin’ (launching mini pumpkins into the air) are just some of the attractions. It costs $12 for those ages 4+ and children 4 and under are free. The Harvest Fun area is running from September 19th to October the 31st this year.

2. Snyders Family Farm
Great family farm and pumpkin patch. Includes a petting zoo, pirate play ship, hayrides, corn maze, straw castle and more.
Cost: Weekend Admission is for children 2 and under free, 3-12 and 65+ $12 + HST, 13-65 $14 + HST. October Weekdays Admission (Wed-Fri, 10-5) is $7 + tax and has a reduced number of attractions.
Hours: Closed Monday and Tuesdays. Wednesday-Friday 10-5, Saturday-Sunday 10-7.

3. Springridge Farm
This farm is a short drive from Guelph in Milton. The Springridge Fun Farm Yard is packed with family fun activities such as a tractor drawn wagon ride, spiderweb climber, big sandbox, farm animals, corn trails, antique tractors, singing chicken show, and more.
Cost: $5 for those aged 2-92, excluding Harvest Festival Weekends. Harvest Festival Weekends for 2015 cost $12/person and are every weekend in October.
Hours: April 2 to Christmas, 9-5 daily.
Location: 7256 Bell School Line, Milton
4. The Donkey Sanctuary of Canada
Come pet, brush and observe donkeys on this peaceful 100 acre farm. The Donkey Sanctuary of Canada has been a safe refuge for donkeys, mules and hinnies since 1992. There are also hiking trails and pretty spots to enjoy a picnic.
Cost: The suggested donation is $10/adult, $5/student, senior or child.
Hours: Open May through October, every Wednesday and Sunday, from 10-4.

5. Wellington Country Marketplace
This is a third-generation butcher shop that also sells cheeses, specialty items and fresh local produce. Children enjoy the playground, sandbox and petting zoo. The petting zoo has goats, ponies, donkeys and potbelly pigs.
Cost: Free to see the animals and play on the playground. Bring money to buy fresh food though.
Hours: Wednesday and Saturday 9-5, Thursday and Friday 9-6, and Sunday 10-4.
Location: 5259 Jones Baseline (between Eastview and Speedvale).
