Camp Highlight - STEM CAMP
We continue to highlight a number of amazing camps in Guelph that we believe you need to
check out.
This week we want to introduce you to the STEM CAMP.
STEM Camp provides learning experiences through fun and engaging programming
that encourages campers to explore their sense of wonder.
Children aged 5 to 13 are introduced to hands-on STEM activities that promote
discovery, reward curiosity, and leave children amazed at what they can do!
Minecraft, Star Wars, Transformers & Superheroes are all coming back by popular
demand and we started augmenting programming in the spring of 2018 for the
summer of 2019. That is more than twelve months in advance so imagine what we
have in store for your child.
It’s amazing to think we are entering our 7th year of operation but have impacted the
lives of over 20,000 youth in that time. We are just as excited about STEM activities
today as we were when we started STEM Camp.
STEM is based on 4 areas:
Science
Technology
Engineering and
Math,
but it is more than that. STEM is a way to inspire and encourage critical thinking skills. It is the
process of figuring out solutions to problems. It can be a simple (or complex) paper
plane!
It will be an amazing journey with loads of fun and learning. Join us this summer.
